Sorry, out of stock at the moment
This Eucalyptus variety belongs to the small fruited swamp gums. It produces a nicely shaped tree with an open spreading crown, casting a light shade. Arching branches carry dense foliage in clusters.
Very hardy and resilient nature. They are famous for the speed of their growth and can get 12m to 20m if allowed. Of course, you can prune and tame it if you want to keep the Eucalyptus Black Gum smaller. Can be a stunning specimen tree, equally as nice as a trimmed bushy shrub or can be pruned annually to be a short tree on a clear trunk.
Prefers neutral to slightly acidic soil that does not dry out but will tolerate most soil types. Requires a sunny situation with shelter from cold drying wind.
We supply our eucalyptus trees in either 9cm liners or small pots depending on the time of year. They hate root disturbance and it can seriously hinder growth, make sure you don’t disturb the roots whilst re-potting or planing into the ground.
