Natural Germination: Albizia kalkora seeds naturally germinate with the seasonal changes of spring. The natural process involves the seeds being exposed to varying temperatures and moisture levels, simulating their native environment. This gradual exposure helps break down the seed coat, promoting sprouting. For gardeners, simply sowing the seeds outdoors in autumn allows them to undergo this natural stratification process, readying them for spring growth.

Artificial Stratification: To mimic natural conditions artificially, soak Albizia kalkora seeds in warm water for 24 hours before sowing. This softens the hard outer shell, enhancing germination rates. After soaking, place the seeds in moist sand or a paper towel and refrigerate for 4-6 weeks. This cold stratification process stimulates the natural cues for germination. Once completed, seeds can be sown in a well-draining soil mix, ideally in a warm, bright location. This method is perfect for gardeners looking to expedite the germination process, especially in controlled environments.
