Hemlock Trees

Hemlock trees include graceful evergreen conifers like the Eastern hemlock – Tsuga canadensis and various cultivars such as weeping, dwarf and golden varieties. These elegant pyramidal trees festooned with soft, flat needles make excellent specimen or screening plants.

Hemlocks thrive in partial shade to full sun and moist, well-draining acidic soil. Space per projected size from 5-40+ feet apart. Water regularly when young until established. Apply acidic mulch yearly.
