Natural Germination: Paper Birch Seeds typically require a period of cold stratification to break dormancy. Sowing the seeds outdoors in autumn, letting them experience the winter cold, is an effective way to stimulate natural germination in spring.
Artificial Stratification: For artificial stratification, mix the seeds with a moist substrate and refrigerate for about 60 days. This process mimics the natural cold period, preparing the seeds for successful germination when planted in warmer conditions.
