False acacia 150/200cm (3L)

The False acacia, botanically known as Robinia pseudoacacia, is a magnificent deciduous tree that can grace any UK garden with its stately presence. At a current height of 150/200cm, this fast-growing specimen is poised to become a true focal point in your outdoor space.

The False acacia is renowned for its delicate, pinnately compound leaves that emerge in a vibrant green hue, creating a lush, airy canopy. As the seasons change, the foliage transforms, showcasing a stunning golden-yellow autumnal display that will captivate onlookers.

One of the tree’s most alluring features is its profusion of fragrant, white, pea-like flowers that bloom in late spring and early summer. These delicate blooms cascade in graceful clusters, filling the air with a sweet, honey-like scent that attracts a myriad of pollinators, including bees and butterflies.

The False acacia’s bark is another point of interest, developing a unique, furrowed texture that adds visual interest and character to the tree. As it matures, the bark will take on a rich, reddish-brown hue, further enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Caring for this hardy tree is relatively straightforward. It thrives in well-drained, moderately fertile soil and prefers a sunny to partially shaded location. Regular watering during the first few years will help establish a strong root system, and light pruning can be done to maintain the desired shape and size.
