The Metasequoia glyptostroboides ‘Amber Glow’ cultivar dazzles with its exceptional foliage that transitions through a palette of colours from spring to autumn.

Initially emerging with a hint of burgundy, the leaves mature to a striking yellow, which remarkably withstands the full brunt of summer without succumbing to burn, a testament to its robust nature. As the seasons turn, the foliage adopts an orange hue, beautifully complementing the reddish-brown, textured bark that becomes a focal point in the winter landscape.

This cultivar’s rapid growth, compact form, and resilience in zones 5 through 8 make it an excellent choice for adding vibrant colour and dynamic interest to any garden setting.

Unlike Dawn Redwood ‘Golden Oji’, this cultivar will not scorch in full sun.

Supplied approx 60/80cm tall.
