The Green Penguin Dwarf Mountain Pine, Pinus mugo ‘Green Penguin’, is a charming and compact evergreen shrub that brings a touch of whimsy to garden landscapes. Hailing from the rugged mountain regions of Europe, this cultivar features a dense, mounded form with bright green needles that remain vibrant year-round.
‘Green Penguin’ is prized for its slow growth rate and diminutive size, making it an ideal choice for small gardens, rockeries, or container planting. Despite its small stature, this pine packs a visual punch, providing texture and structure to garden beds or mixed borders. It thrives in well-drained soil and full sunlight, tolerating a wide range of soil types and weather conditions. Whether used as a solitary specimen, grouped for mass planting, or featured in alpine style gardens, the Green Penguin Dwarf Mountain Pine adds character and charm to any outdoor space.
