Coast Redwood ‘Steel Blue’ 150/200cm (55L)
Sequoia sempervirens
£689.00
Currently the bluest Coast Redwood cultivar available.
This Coast redwood variety known as ‘Steel Blue’ is a recent addition to the species, boasting some of the most intensely blue foliage among redwoods. Its blue colouration intensifies as the tree matures. ‘Steel Blue’ grows at a leisurely pace and takes its time establishing a dominant central stem. Gardeners aiming for a tall, upright ‘Steel Blue’ should consider using stakes to promote vertical growth of branches. Conversely, those preferring a low-spreading form should remove any emerging central leaders through pruning.
Needles form much tighter than the species.
Approx 150/200cm tall in a 55 litre pot.
