The Giant Redwood ‘Healthy Mammoth Three’ – Sequoiadendron giganteum represents the culmination of Dutch conifer breeding expertise by the distinguished Cornelius Kools. As the third in his prestigious Healthy Mammoth series, this cultivar combines rapid growth with a more refined, slender profile.

What distinguishes this variety is its exceptional vigour coupled with outstanding fungal resistance. The foliage structure is particularly sophisticated, creating a more elegant silhouette than its series companions. Its vibrant green needles form a dense, appealing canopy that maintains freshness throughout the year.

Despite its rapid growth rate, this cultivar maintains a narrower, more controlled form, making it particularly valuable for gardens where space might be at a premium. The upright habit and consistent shape development ensure it remains an striking specimen without becoming overwhelming.

As the third release in Kools’ breeding programme, this tree represents the perfect balance between growth rate and form. Its slender profile and healthy growing habit make it an excellent choice for both private gardens and larger landscape schemes.

Plant your Giant Redwood ‘Healthy Mammoth Three’ – Sequoiadendron giganteum in well-drained soil in full sun to partial shade. Whilst adaptable to most soil types, it prefers slightly acidic to neutral conditions. Water regularly when young, particularly during dry spells, though established trees become quite drought tolerant. No regular pruning is needed as it naturally forms an attractive shape. A yearly feed with a balanced fertiliser in spring will keep it healthy. The tree is fully hardy but appreciates some shelter from strong winds while young.

Please note: Decorative pots shown are for display purposes only. Your tree will be supplied in a standard plastic nursery pot shown in the other pictures.
