The Variegated sycamore ‘Simon-Louis Frères’ is a striking and eye-catching tree that adds a touch of elegance to any garden. With its distinctive mottled foliage in shades of green, white, and cream, this cultivar of the common sycamore – Acer pseudoplatanus is a true standout.

Growing to a height of 20-150cm in its current state, this compact tree is well-suited for smaller gardens or as a focal point in larger landscapes. Its leaves are deeply lobed, providing a lovely texture and movement in the breeze. As the tree matures, the variegation becomes more pronounced, creating a fantastic display of colour throughout the growing season.

One of the key features of the Variegated sycamore ‘Simon-Louis Frères’ is its adaptability to a wide range of soil types and growing conditions. It thrives in full sun to partial shade, making it a versatile choice for gardens with varying levels of sunlight. The tree is also relatively low-maintenance, requiring only occasional pruning to maintain its shape and remove any damaged or dead branches.

When it comes to caring for the Variegated sycamore ‘Simon-Louis Frères’, it’s important to ensure the soil remains moist, especially during the hotter, drier months. Regular watering and a layer of mulch around the base of the tree can help retain moisture and prevent the soil from drying out.
