Natural Germination: Juniper seeds typically require a period of warm an cold stratification to break dormancy. Sowing the seeds outdoors in autumn, allowing them to experience the winter cold, can stimulate natural germination in spring.
Artificial Stratification: For controlled germination, mix the seeds with a moist substrate and keep warm for 2-3 months, then refrigerate for about 2-3 months. This process mimics the natural cold period, preparing the seeds for successful germination when planted in warmer conditions.
