This characterful European Larch brings the ancient art of bonsai styling to your garden. Each specimen has been carefully shaped to develop unique features – some with twisted trunks, others with cascading branches or naturally weathered forms. These quirky trees tell their own story through their distinctive shapes.
The natural attributes of Larch make it perfect for character specimens. The soft needles appear in spring, clothing the sculptural framework in feathery green that turns to gold in autumn. Even in winter, when the needles drop, the artistic form of the branches creates a striking silhouette.
Small cones appear like decorative jewels along the branches, perfectly scaled to the tree’s character. The bark develops interesting textures and patterns that enhance the aged appearance, while the branches can be positioned to emphasize the tree’s unique personality.
These specimens have been grown to showcase natural irregularities – whether that’s a leaning trunk, twisted leader, or spreading form. Each one is different, offering a piece of living art that changes through the seasons.
