‘Summer Gold’ is a delightful small tree that brings sophisticated colour changes and refined form to any garden setting.
The show begins in spring when the seven-lobed leaves emerge in soft salmon-pink tones, accompanied by subtle green flowers. As summer approaches, the foliage transforms into a striking combination of lime-green and yellow, beautifully enhanced by fine red edges that add definition to each leaf.
The autumn finale is particularly spectacular, with leaves displaying a rich palette of coral pink, salmon, scarlet, and red tones. This colour show is complemented by decorative red winged fruits held above the foliage, adding extra seasonal interest.
Growing slowly to approximately 2-2.5 metres in both height and spread, this variety develops a naturally upright habit with a rounded crown that requires minimal pruning to maintain its elegant shape.
‘Summer Gold’ performs best in sheltered positions with dappled shade, where its delicate foliage can develop its full colour potential. It thrives in moist but well-drained soil, making it perfect for both container growing and border planting.

With regret, we can no longer send items out to Northern Ireland. All live plants need a phytosanitary checks and DAERA must be notified. This process is simply too expensive at the moment.

In the rare instance that your item has been damaged during delivery or incorrectly shipped by us, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss the return and replacement of your item.
Once you have contacted us and we have confirmation that your parcel is on its way back to us we will be happy to issue a refund for the return postage.

We are a small family business based in Euxton, West Lancashire. We specialise in the supply of trees, shrubs both bare root & cell grown. Much of our stock is grown directly on site from seed or cuttings. Other stock is all UK sourced where possible.
We adhere to industry leading biosecurity measures, this ensures that our nursery remains clean and disease free.
We are DEFRA registered and our nursery is regularly inspected to confirm compliance with all current plant and plant health regulations.
